This is a class for mature members of the community who have rediscovered their love for the theatre. It is a beginning level course designed for those who wish to re-embrace their passion for the theatre.

PREPARING THE ACTOR
This class introduces beginning acting styles and techniques, from improvisation and beginning monologue work to the decision-making processes each actor must engage in. (36 hours) Mondays, September 15 - December 8, 7 to 10 p.m.

SINGING TECHNIQUES
This class teaches a basic knowledge of written music, including how to read it and how work with an accompanist to incorporate lyrics. Students also learn breathing techniques for singing as well as modern and traditional singing methods.

This class is a fusion of various element of dance in order to develop an actor or a dancer’s physical stage presence. Movement techniques ranging from yoga, contact improv, ballet and contemporary dance

The music of speech. This class improves the actor’s mode of delivery, both natural and stylized.

Acting for a camera is quite different from acting on the stage. This class introduces students to a variety of techniques and industry practices, from basic camera technique to repetition and replication strategies.
